From a slightly earlier class - '57

Steve:

Nice job here. I am sure you will get some visitors from among a group of class of '57, a few from '58, and a few relatives who have recently exchanged memories about Riley School. Some (at least one) are pictured in the nice video.

We have a lot of memories and a number of photos which we have shared by email. It would be great to have them accessible to more folks as you have done. You'd better leave some instructions for or against taking contributions, else you will be inundated, I fear.cry.gif

Thanks for your work so far.

I'll attach one pic now, my dad and a 1916 Chevy some folks may have seen in parades in the 60's.  More to come.

Hello George,

Was it your dad that had the Chevy dealership?

From Dorners my mom bought new a future classic 1957 Chevy Bel Air two door, pink bottom,  white roof, with silver and black interior, automatic trans.
What a beauty!  Unfortunately, she traded in for a Buick in 1962.     It is my recollection that my father bought most of the trucks for his business from Dorner's.

Is there any connection between your family and Dorner's Park?

Regards,

Norm Winski
